#ILEETA2027

Learn. Share. Lead.

The proposal window for 2027 is open.

Whether you have spent decades developing training programs or recently discovered a better way to solve a training challenge, ILEETA exists to help trainers learn from one another.

The ILEETA Conference & Expo is built on the simple idea that our profession gets better when instructors openly share their knowledge, experience, successes, and even their failures.

If you are passionate about developing other trainers, we invite you to share your expertise with the global #TribeOfTrainers.

What Makes a Great ILEETA Presentation?

The ILEETA Conference is designed for trainers, by trainers.

While we welcome nearly every discipline within law enforcement and public safety, every presentation should ultimately help attendees become better instructors, build stronger training programs, or improve how their agencies prepare their people.

Before submitting your proposal, ask yourself one question:

What will another trainer be able to take home and implement immediately?

  • Practical and immediately applicable.
  • Built on real-world experience.
  • Supported by evidence, research, or lessons learned.
  • Focused on instructor development rather than end-user skills.
  • Designed to improve training systems, leadership, safety, or organizational effectiveness.

Topics We Welcome

ILEETA welcomes presentations from every area of law enforcement training, including but not limited to:

  • Academy instruction
  • Adult learning and instructional design
  • Leadership development
  • Field Training Officer programs
  • Officer safety and use of force
  • Firearms and tactics
  • Defensive tactics
  • Wellness and resilience

How Proposals Are Evaluated

Each proposal is reviewed using several factors designed to help us build a practical, relevant, and educationally strong conference.

Relevance to instructor development
Educational value
Practical application
Originality
Clarity of learning outcomes
Audience interest
Overall conference balance
Logistical feasibility

Our goal is to create a conference that reflects the diverse needs of today’s law enforcement trainers while maintaining the highest standards of educational quality.

Before You Submit

  • Teach what you know exceptionally well.
  • Share lessons learned, not just success stories.
  • Focus on helping other instructors solve real problems.
  • Keep your description clear, concise, and learner-focused.
  • Avoid product promotion or sales presentations.

Remember...

You do not have to be nationally known to make an international impact.

Sometimes the best ideas come from instructors simply willing to share what they have learned.
