Who is eligible?
ILEETA membership is open to professionals who are actively involved in law enforcement training and education or who directly support that mission.
Certified instructors, academy staff, field training officers, in-service trainers, command-level educators, and others who train law enforcement, corrections, communications, or public safety personnel.
Current or former military and federal personnel whose education or training mission directly supports law enforcement, public safety, security, or related operational responsibilities.
Professionals who provide instruction, curriculum, subject-matter expertise, scenario development, legal education, leadership development, wellness programming, or other training services to law enforcement professionals.
Faculty, instructional designers, researchers, and educational professionals whose work supports criminal justice, law enforcement, public safety, or the development of those serving in these fields.
Supervisors, administrators, command staff, curriculum managers, and leaders responsible for directing, evaluating, or improving law enforcement training systems.
If your work meaningfully contributes to how law enforcement professionals learn, perform, lead, communicate, recover, or prepare, we encourage you to ask. The profession continues to evolve, and so does training.
What we look for
ILEETA members are expected to support the development of others and contribute to a professional culture of learning, ethical conduct, collaboration, and continual improvement.
The ILEETA Conference & Expo is designed primarily for ILEETA members. Eligible non-members may attend through an agency-sponsored registration option that includes an additional $100 administrative fee. In most cases, becoming a member provides the strongest value and the fullest connection to the ILEETA community.
Industry and corporate partners
ILEETA also welcomes professionals who work for vendors, educational institutions, nonprofits, training companies, and industry organizations serving the law enforcement training community.
Industry professionals can begin with a free subscriber account, connect themselves to their organization, and receive updates about vendor, sponsor, and Expo opportunities.
Still unsure?
ILEETA would rather welcome a qualified member of the training community than have someone stay away because they were uncertain about how the eligibility language applied to their role.
