Great training isn’t measured by how much information we cover. It’s measured by what learners can do with that information when it matters. ILEETA is pleased to present d’Vinci Interactive for this free educational webinar exploring how trainers can move beyond content coverage and design learning for real-world performance.
Program Description
From Information to Application
Information-heavy training may cover everything learners need to know, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be able to apply it when it matters. This session explores how to shift from content coverage to performance-focused learning by starting with what learners need to do, the decisions they need to make, and the challenges they’re likely to encounter on the job.
Participants will see how traditional, information-heavy training can be transformed using authentic practice, realistic scenarios, meaningful feedback, and purposeful content. Through a practical before-and-after example, we’ll demonstrate how learning science and instructional design principles can create training that goes beyond “we covered it” to “they can do it.”
During This Session
Move Beyond Content Coverage
Explore practical ways to design learning around what people actually need to do when they return to the job.
01
Start With Performance
Begin with what learners need to do and the decisions they need to make—not simply the information you need to present.
02
Build Authentic Practice
Use realistic scenarios and challenges that give learners opportunities to apply knowledge before performance matters.
03
Make Feedback Matter
Use meaningful feedback and purposeful content to strengthen learning, decision-making, and future performance.
04
See the Transformation
Examine a practical before-and-after example showing how information-heavy instruction can become performance-focused learning.
